Since the year 2000, LogoBee has been one of the top providers of custom logos created by in-house designers. Right now, for a limited time, LogoBee is launching what may be the biggest promotion in its 18-year existence.
Until the promotion ends, every day will be dedicated to a specific letter that will be displayed on LogoBee’s Promotions page: https://www.logobee.com/logo-design-promotion.php. Any company ordering a custom logo design package on that day is entitled to receive a whopping 50% discount on LogoBee’s services, provided its name starts with the letter displayed that day. Letters will change daily at midnight, cycling through the entire alphabet in order, making it easy for any company to take full advantage of this offer – just check the page regularly and don’t miss the day your letter appears!
Yes, you read that right – 50% off on any custom logo design package created in-house by our professional logo designers. With this deal, every day, someone’s a winner!

The big news in the business world this month was that Google has a new owner: a holding company called Alphabet. What does this mean for the world’s favourite search engine?
Well, not much really.
Users of the company’s services won't notice any difference at all. Alphabet, which is owned by Google’s founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, is simply a chance to reorganize assets and mitigate risk on the stock market.

I could probably write a hundred different blog posts about the soft drink super-giant that is Coca Cola – the evolution and history of the brand is fascinating, as is the success of legendary campaigns such as “Diet Coke Break guy”, “Holidays are Coming” and the recent “Share a Coke” initiative, which saw the famous logo replaced by people’s names. Perhaps one day I will.
But the subject of today’s Coca-Cola-related post comes from the Middle East where, in the midst of the holy month of Ramadan, some people were enjoying their can of ice-cold Coke (during the hours of darkness, of course) without a logo on it all.

The British media reported this week that the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) has seen a 40% drop in the number of new people coming forward to donate blood.
Blood donation in the UK is unpaid, so relies on volunteers who are willing to spare an hour of their time once every three months to give a pint of their finest red stuff. Donated blood is used to help accident victims, cancer patients, people with hereditary blood disorders such as sickle cell anemia, women having traumatic childbirths, and for crucial scientific research. In short, it saves lives, so a drop in donor numbers is very worrying as it could mean life or death for someone in need.

I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting Montréal, home of LogoBee’s HQ, but a recent rebranding of the regional tourism board has made me want to visit!
Arguably, Tourisme Montréal’s previous logo – ‘à la Montréal’ (see below) was a little dated and tired. When I first saw it, I was perplexed by the lipstick ‘kiss’ – it seemed rather feminine and thus confusing as to who the logo was meant to appeal to. I also thought the lipstick made the more difficult to read.
All that has changed with a fancy new restyle by agency LG2. The new Tourisme Montréal logo is bold, easy-to-read, gender neutral and very digital-friendly, as this video shows.

In 2009, Pepsi spent a rumored one million dollars to revamp their logo design. The company was ridiculed in the mainstream media for the exuberant amount of money it spent and insult was added to injury when graphic design artist Lawrence Yang further ridiculed the design by creating a sketch of an obese “Pepsi Man,” highlighting the negative health effects of sugary soft drinks.

In recent years and months, the African nation of Uganda has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons – its poor record on human rights, a discriminatory legal stance on homosexuality, and widespread Government corruption to name but a few sticking points.
But despite its dubious politics, Uganda wants to encourage tourism from within Africa and outside. To this end, the Uganda Ministry of Tourism, together with the Uganda Tourism Board, has launched a competition that invites professional or wannabe designers to come up with a new logo for Uganda’s tourist industry.

Away from the pomp and circumstance of well-known tourist sites such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, communities on the outskirts of London, UK, are suffering.
No thanks to the development of large, out-of-town shopping malls, and of course the recent economic downturn, streets in outer London districts that were once thriving with independent businesses and bustling with members of the local community are now quiet. Stores are closing and those that remain are run down and struggling to survive.
